Q41/Q341/Q641/Q941F/H Floating Ball Valve – Compact, Low-Torque Design with Bubble-Tight Sealing for Water, Gas, Oil & General Industrial Use

The Coliter® Q41/Q341/Q641/Q941F/H Floating Ball Valve is a versatile quarter-turn shut-off valve designed for reliable isolation in a wide range of fluid systems, including water supply, HVAC, chemical processing, oil & gas, and utility services. In this design, the ball is not mechanically anchored but "floats" downstream under pressure, pressing tightly against the resilient seat to achieve bubble-tight shut-off (Class VI per ISO 5208). The series includes multiple actuation options:
Q41F: Manual operation (lever or handwheel)
Q341F: Worm gear operator for larger sizes
Q641F: Pneumatic actuator
Q941F: Electric actuator
Q941H: Metal-seated version for high-temperature applications
Constructed from brass, carbon steel (WCB), or stainless steel (CF8/CF8M), these valves offer full-port flow for minimal pressure drop and are rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) for brass models or up to PN40 (4.0 MPa) for steel variants. Operating temperature ranges from -29°C to 180°C with PTFE/RPTFE seats, and up to 425–500°C with metal-to-metal sealing (Q941H). Compliant with GB/T 12237 and API 6D, they feature standard flanged, threaded, or socket-weld end connections. Additional safety features include an anti-static device and optional fire-safe design. With low operating torque, compact structure, and long service life, the Q41 series delivers cost-effective, durable shut-off performance for both general and demanding industrial applications.

Faq - Frequent questions

Coliter®’s floating ball valves offer reliable, quarter-turn shut-off for water, gas, oil, and general industrial fluid systems. The series includes the Q41F (manual), Q341F (gear-operated), Q641F (pneumatic), Q941F (electric), and metal-seated Q941H models—featuring a floating ball design that seals against downstream seat under pressure for tight closure. Constructed from forged brass, carbon steel (WCB), or stainless steel (CF8/CF8M), these valves provide full-port flow, low torque operation, and bubble-tight sealing (Class VI per ISO 5208). Rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) (up to PN40 for steel types) and suitable for temperatures from -29°C to 180°C (higher for metal seats), they comply with GB/T 12237 and API 6D standards. Ideal for building services, chemical processing, HVAC, and utility isolation where cost-effective, durable shut-off is required.
