KXT Rubber Shock Absorber (Rubber Joint) – Flexible Single-Sphere Rubber Expansion Joint for Pump Connections, Thermal Movement & Seismic Protection

The Coliter® KXT Rubber Shock Absorber (also known as a rubber expansion joint or flexible rubber coupling) is a high-performance vibration-isolating component designed to absorb mechanical shock, compensate for misalignment, and accommodate thermal expansion/contraction in fluid piping systems. Widely installed at the inlet and outlet of pumps, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment, it effectively reduces noise transmission, prevents pipeline stress damage, and protects connected machinery from foundation settlement or seismic movement. The KXT features a single-sphere elastomeric body reinforced with multiple layers of fabric and embedded steel wire rings for pressure resistance, combined with carbon steel or stainless steel flanges compliant with GB/T 17241.6-1998. It supports axial extension/compression, lateral displacement, and angular deflection up to 15° (depending on size), with operating temperatures suitable for standard water, air, and mild chemical media. Available in sizes from DN32 to DN2400, the joint can be customized with inner/outer rubber liners made of Natural Rubber (NR), Nitrile (NBR), EPDM, or other compounds based on media compatibility. This product is widely used in the connection between pump body and pipeline of pump station, pump house, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and other pumps conveying various fluid media. It can extend, compress, deflect and displace, and effectively prevent pipeline damage caused by foundation settlement and pipeline fracture caused by thermal expansion and cold contraction.
