QA61F-25/40CS / QF61F-25/40CS Long Rod Direct Buried (Split Type) Welded Ball Valve – Fully Welded, Split-Body Design with Extended Operating Stem for Deep Burial Applications

The Coliter® QA61F-25/40CS / QF61F-25/40CS Long Rod Direct Buried (Split Type) Welded Ball Valve is specifically engineered for permanent underground installation in district heating, oil & gas transmission, and industrial pipeline networks. Unlike standard buried valves, it features a unique split-type fully welded body that allows internal assembly before final welding—ensuring structural integrity while simplifying manufacturing and inspection. Once installed directly in the trench, the valve remains completely sealed against soil, moisture, and external contaminants due to its 100% welded construction (no bolted joints). A key feature is the extended operating stem (long rod), which projects vertically to ground level or into a valve chamber, enabling manual operation via wrench or actuator without excavation. Available in two configurations:
QA61F-25/40CS: Manual operation with extended square drive
QF61F-25/40CS: Designed for future actuation or lockable handle
Constructed from high-grade carbon steel (A105/WCB), rated at PN25 (2.5 MPa) or PN40 (4.0 MPa), and suitable for media temperatures from -10°C to 200°C. The soft-seated design (PTFE/RPTFE) ensures bubble-tight shut-off (ISO 5208 Class VI). Additional features include anti-static device, fire-safe option, full-bore flow for pigging, and corrosion-resistant coating (e.g., epoxy or 3PE). Ideal for deep burial where maintenance access is limited, this valve delivers long-term reliability, zero external leakage, and safe isolation in critical buried infrastructure.

Faq - Frequent questions

Coliter®’s three-way ball valves enable precise flow direction control, mixing, or isolation in HVAC, process, and industrial fluid systems. The series includes the Q44F L-port (90°) three-way ball valve for switching flow between two outlets, and the Q45F T-port (straight-through) type for mixing or diverting flows from a common line. Available in manual (Q44F/Q45F), gear-operated (Q344F/Q345F), pneumatic (Q644F/Q645F), and electric (Q944F/Q945F) actuation, these valves feature forged brass, carbon steel, or stainless steel (304/316) bodies with PTFE or reinforced soft seats for bubble-tight shut-off (ISO 5208 Class VI). Rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) and suitable for temperatures up to 180°C, they offer low torque, full-port flow, and reliable operation—ideal for chiller bypass, heat exchanger control, and dual-circuit distribution.
