700X Pump Control Valve – Electromagnetic Pilot-Operated Valve for Controlled Pump Shutdown and Surge Protection in Water Systems
The Coliter® 700X Pump Control Valve is an advanced hydraulic control valve specifically engineered to enable soft, controlled shutdown of centrifugal pumps, effectively eliminating dangerous water hammer and protecting pipelines, pumps, and system components. Installed downstream of the pump, it operates in coordination with the pump motor: when a stop signal is issued, the valve closes in two stages—first to 90% closure via inlet pressure, then triggering a pump-off signal; the remaining 10% closes using return flow from the downstream side through a built-in check mechanism. This staged closure dissipates kinetic energy gradually, preventing pressure surges. The valve is controlled by a low-power electromagnetic pilot valve and requires no external power source or additional actuators for main valve operation. Its integrated system includes a main valve, solenoid pilot valve, needle valve, ball valve, one-way (check) valve, travel switch, micro filter, and pressure gauges. Constructed from ductile iron with epoxy coating and brass internals, rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa), and suitable for media temperatures up to 80°C, it handles clean water only. Available in sizes from DN20 to DN800 with flanged end connections per GB/T 17241.6. Widely used in high-rise buildings, residential complexes, urban water supply projects, and industrial pumping stations, the 700X delivers reliable, energy-efficient, and maintenance-friendly pump protection—ensuring safe, quiet, and stable system operation.

The 700X water pump control valve consists of a hydraulic control connecting system consisting of a main valve, electromagnetic guide valve, needle valve, ball valve, one-way valve, travel switch, micro filter, and pressure gauge. When the water pump needs to stop working, the main valve is closed by 90% by the inlet pressure first, and then the water pump stops running. The remaining 10% is closed by the return valve, which can prevent the occurrence of water hammer. When the water pump stops working, the electromagnetic pilot valve is closed first, and the main valve control room stops draining. The pressure in the control room increases, and the main valve begins to close. When closed to 90%, the upper travel switch of the main valve outputs a pump stop signal, and the water pump stops running. At this point, the downstream return water enters the main valve control room through the one-way valve, and the pressure in the control room increases, and the main valve is fully closed. This product is controlled by an electromagnetic pilot valve and does not require other devices or energy sources. Energy saving, easy maintenance, stable pump shutdown, widely used in water supply network systems such as high-rise buildings and living areas, as well as urban water supply projects.
