800X Differential Pressure Bypass Balance Valve – Pilot-Operated Automatic Bypass Valve to Maintain Stable Pressure Difference Across Circuits

The Coliter® 800X Differential Pressure Bypass Balance Valve is an advanced hydraulic self-operated control valve designed to automatically maintain a constant pressure difference (ΔP) between the supply and return lines of hydronic systems. It is widely used in high-rise buildings, residential complexes, district heating networks, and urban water supply projects to ensure stable operation of variable-flow systems and protect sensitive equipment from pressure fluctuations. The valve consists of a main valve, a differential pressure control pilot valve, needle valve, ball valve, micro filter, and pressure gauges, forming an integrated hydraulic control system. During operation, the pilot valve continuously compares the inlet and outlet pressure signals; if the differential pressure exceeds the preset value, the pilot opens to drain the control chamber of the main valve, causing it to open and bypass excess flow—thereby stabilizing ΔP at the set point. This process requires no external power or electrical components, making it energy-efficient, reliable, and low-maintenance. Constructed from ductile iron or cast steel, rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa), and suitable for media temperatures up to 120°C, the 800X complies with relevant Chinese standards and is available in sizes from DN50 to DN400 with flanged end connections per GB/T 17241.6. By eliminating pressure surges and ensuring consistent circuit performance, the 800X enhances system efficiency, reduces pump wear, and simplifies commissioning in modern HVAC and water distribution networks.

Product Description

The 800X differential pressure bypass balance valve is composed of a main valve, a differential pressure control pilot valve, a needle valve, a ball valve, a micro filter and a pressure gauge to form a hydraulic control takeover system. Through the specially designed pilot valve control room, the pressure change signal is compared, the main valve opening signal is output, the main valve opening is controlled, and the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the main valve is controlled at the set value. This product uses hydraulic self-control, does not require other devices and energy, and is easy to maintain. It is widely used in high-rise buildings, living areas and other water supply pipe network systems and urban water supply projects.

Faq - Frequent questions

Coliter®’s balance valves ensure precise flow distribution and hydraulic stability in heating, cooling, and district energy systems. The series includes the SP45F digital lockable static balance valve with integrated flow measurement ports for commissioning, the 800X differential pressure bypass balance valve that automatically maintains constant ΔP across circuits, and other manual/static models for circuit calibration. Constructed from high-quality brass or cast iron, these valves are rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) and suitable for temperatures up to 120°C. Compliant with EN 15437 and GB/T standards, they enable energy-efficient operation, eliminate overheating/underheating zones, and simplify system commissioning—essential for radiant floor manifolds, fan coil units, and central plant applications.
