Z15X Silk Mouth Soft Sealing Gate Valve – Compact Threaded Gate Valve with NBR/EPDM Seal for Zero Leakage
The Coliter® Z15X Silk Mouth Soft Sealing Gate Valve is a compact, threaded-end gate valve designed for reliable shut-off in residential, commercial, and light industrial water systems. Featuring a non-rising stem and silk mouth (female BSP parallel thread) connections per JB/T 7307 (ISO 228), it offers easy installation in space-constrained plumbing applications such as building mains, pump outlets, and irrigation lines. The valve achieves bubble-tight sealing through a resilient NBR or EPDM elastomer-coated wedge gate that compresses against a precision-machined ductile iron seat—eliminating leakage common in traditional metal-seated gate valves. Its flat-bottom valve cavity mimics the pipe interior, preventing debris accumulation and ensuring smooth flow with minimal resistance. The entire body and bonnet are made of ductile iron (QT450), with a stainless steel stem for corrosion resistance and smooth operation. Rated for PN10/16 (1.0–1.6 MPa) and suitable for media temperatures from -10°C to 80°C, the Z15X is ideal for clean water, hot water, and non-corrosive fluids. Both internal and external surfaces are coated with non-toxic epoxy resin, making it safe for potable water use. Available in sizes from DN15 to DN100, it delivers maintenance-free, long-life performance with low operating torque.

The silk mouth soft sealing gate valve utilizes the deformation compensation effect generated bythe overall sealing of the gate plate to achieve good sealing effect, overcoming the phenomenon ofpoor sealing, water leakage, and rust in general gate valves. The bottom adopts the same flat bottomvalve seat design as the water pipe, which does not produce debris accumulation, has a small flowresistance coefficient, and the channel is smooth. The inside and outside of the valve body are coatedwith non-toxic epoxy resin to prevent corrosion and rust. It can be used not only for domestic water butalso in sewage treatment systems.
