Coliter ® Pre-Insulated Fully Welded Steel Directly Buried Ball Valve – Integrated Thermal Insulation for District Heating & Cooling Networks
Pre-Insulated Fully Welded Steel Directly Buried Ball Valve – PN25, DN50–1400, with Factory-Applied Polyurethane Foam & HDPE Jacket for Energy-Efficient Underground Installation
The Coliter® Pre-Insulated Fully Welded Steel Directly Buried Ball Valve (Model: PN25, DN50–1400) is a high-performance isolation valve engineered specifically for district heating, district cooling, and hot water circulation systems. It integrates a fully welded carbon steel ball valve body with a factory-installed polyurethane (PU) foam insulation layer and an outer high-density polyethylene (HDPE) protective jacket, forming a seamless, monolithic insulated assembly that matches the thermal performance of pre-insulated pipelines. Designed for direct burial without concrete casings, the valve ensures minimal heat loss, prevents moisture ingress, and eliminates thermal bridges at the valve location—maintaining system efficiency over decades of service. The internal valve features a full-bore design, soft PTFE/RPTFE seats for bubble-tight shut-off (ISO 5208 Class VI), and operates within a temperature range of -10°C to 150°C (short-term up to 180°C). Rated at PN25 (2.5 MPa), it is constructed from high-quality carbon steel (WCB/A105) with fully welded seams for zero external leakage—critical for buried, inaccessible installations. An extended operating stem or gear box allows surface-level actuation via valve chamber or ground access. Compliant with EN 253, CJ/T 114, and other international standards for pre-insulated pipe systems, this valve delivers unmatched reliability, energy conservation, and lifecycle cost savings in modern urban thermal networks.

Introduction to Fully welded ball valve
Coliter®’s three-way ball valves enable precise flow direction control, mixing, or isolation in HVAC, process, and industrial fluid systems. The series includes the Q44F L-port (90°) three-way ball valve for switching flow between two outlets, and the Q45F T-port (straight-through) type for mixing or diverting flows from a common line. Available in manual (Q44F/Q45F), gear-operated (Q344F/Q345F), pneumatic (Q644F/Q645F), and electric (Q944F/Q945F) actuation, these valves feature forged brass, carbon steel, or stainless steel (304/316) bodies with PTFE or reinforced soft seats for bubble-tight shut-off (ISO 5208 Class VI). Rated at PN16 (1.6 MPa) and suitable for temperatures up to 180°C, they offer low torque, full-port flow, and reliable operation—ideal for chiller bypass, heat exchanger control, and dual-circuit distribution.
